It won't be long now before we see the next edition of the PRINCE2 manual available to us - we are expecting to have them in our hands for the official launch on 16th June in London.
On the pearcemayfield website we have created a page of questions and answers to help everyone understand the background to the changes, the timetable to the implementation and explanations of some of the changes. Take a look, and if you have any other questions there's a facility to ask them, and I will respond with answers.
It seems a long time ago that the authoring team actually finished writing, and an absolute age since we first met together to begin to plan this version. It's a fascinating (some might say frustrating) process because there are so many stakeholders involved in getting a PRINCE2 manual into our hands.
I have no idea how the finished article will look in terms of diagrams, layout and general format - all those things are in the hands of the publishers.
However, it is worth repeating that this is still going to be PRINCE2, with all the aspects of best practice from the current version that stakeholders asked to be retained. The message is one of evolution not revolution. Current use of PRINCE2 will be enhanced by the new version, not replaced.
If you know the current version, you will feel right at home with the new one - episode 2009.
